Carrie's background and training is in Substance Abuse and Integrative Mental Health Counseling, Essential Oils Certified and Meditation. After a very rewarding and joyful career of raising five children, Carrie discovered her passion for psychology, counseling, and the clients she has been honored to work with. Nothing is quite as rewarding as watching a client during an "aha" moment or hearing about a particularly difficult challenge successfully overcome. Nothing touches the soul quite as much as someone trusting you with their deepest of pains.
Believing client goals are to be respected, Carrie works extensively with abstinence goals, but also has deep background working with alcohol moderation goals. She works with adults and teens, but also has experience and thoroughly enjoys working with the LGBTQ community, as well as clients dealing with the correctional system.
Having studied integrative health, Carrie offers many holistic options to help overcome depression, anxiety, and trauma. Some of these approaches are meditation, Acupuncture Detoxification, essential oils, holistic sleep hygiene, nutrition, and exercise.
The body heals with play, the mind heals with laughter and the spirit heals with joy.
Carrie is an LPC/MHSP #3582 (Licensed Professional Counselor / Mental Health Service Provider). Carrie has her Masters in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling, an Integrative Mental Health Certificate, and a Substance Abuse and Addiction Counseling Certificate.
